Default Lord of the Rings

Hello!

My husband and I saw the latest installment of "Lord of the Rings" today. It was incredible! I highly recommend seeing it. Lots of action and adventure. A bit violent, but hey, you kind of have to expect it. I was surprised on how many little kids were there. And I can't wait for the third and final movie.

We both love movies like that. Fantasy, lots of interesting characters, elves, fairies, and of course those cute Hobbits. And my husband loves the battle scenes. He collects knives and swords, really gets off on that kind of stuff. I guess it's a man thing.

Anyway, just thought I'd give a little movie review! The next movie I want to see is "The Others" with Nicole Kidman. So until next time!

Mandy

I love both of the LOR movies. The only possible complaint I have is that they are SO long, and I always have to pee by the middle of the movie, so I wait and wait and wait, you know, trying to find a spot where I don't feel like I'll miss something killer, but I never feel like it's a good time to leave. I finally go when it's, like, 5 seconds before permanent kidney damage. There just aren't a whole lotta lulls in these films.

One of my cyber pen pals is a big Tolkein fan, and he has some complaints, but I am blessed by my ignorance. Never read the books.

A.

I wanted to tell you all about the special edition of "The Fellowship of the Ring" It is a 4 DVD set and is incredible. You see things in the movie that you didn't in the original. And there are hours and hours on the making of the movie. I really get off on that stuff. It was so well done, it should win an award of its own!

I have always been interested in "backstage" stuff. Just a few weeks ago, my sister and I went to NYC to see "Beauty and the Beast". Our seats were situated, so at times, I could see backstage stuff going on. My sister would catch me peering and nudge me whispering, "Watch the show, not backstage you idiot!" I couldn't help it. Yes I'm weak. I pay $95 for a great seat and watch behind the scenes. Hell, I'd pay the same price to be back there during a show.

So if you are interested, get the special edition of LOTR. It's about $35.00, not bad really. Enjoy!

The extended DVD set is awesome, and to think that it includes a coupon for a free movie ticket, too!

Can't wait for the third movie, then I hope that some theaters will schedule LoTR Days, so that you can go in and spend the whole day seeing the entire story. Too long? Nah, I'd say about six hours short of being perfect .
