Funny messages on paddles

I saw a posting that had mentioned words on the hairbrush and I rembered some funny paddles I saw once. The first one was a regular paddle withe the verse" Never spank on the face, Nature provides a better place" and the pictures of two red bums and on the handle " grip here in case of frustration". The other one was in shape of hand with Mom's helping hand and Dad's helping hand printed on them. I thought these were very funny.

Has anybody else seen funny paddles. This ones were sold in Seattle Washington at a place called the Ye Old Curiosity Shop on the water front.

My favorite is the one which says "for the dear with a bare behind" and features a picture of a deer being chased by a bear. Cute play on words. As a kid I always liked those souvenir shops that sold those wooden souvenirs, I always looked for a paddle. They can still be found from time to time on ebay as well.

MY aunt had one of the paddles that said "FOR THE CUTE LITTLE DEER...WITH THE BEAR BEHIND". I saw the dad's and mom's helping hand paddles in the shape of a hand about 15 years ago. I used that idea in fact to make a DORM MOM paddle for Lady D. It's in the shape of a hand.

Lady D, can you actually spank with that thing (without breaking it, that is), or is it for decoration? (Even if it's limited to decorative use, it certainly is a hoot.)

I made the paddle about 1/2 inch thick in hopes that the "fingers" wouldn't get broken soo easily! I don't know if it's been tested yet!!!!!! Take care.

Honestly, I have not had the chance to actually use this paddle on anyone yet..except smacking myself with it

I believe that it is a particularly mean implement because of the thickness. So, I am hoping to try it out soon on someone tough, like Isabel of Jennifer. In fact, I will make it a priority!

What may happen is that the fingers will be beyond the strike area. But if not, you could get some interesting marking patterns. (Like a really hard spank with the human hand, on an easily-marked bottom, where individual finger-marks show.)

That is a clever idea for a paddle.

If someone is spanked with that paddle, would that be considered a "hand spanking"
