School "BRAT" Memories
Shoe and Audrey were bantering in another thread about their days in school and college.
So it seems like a good thread to start. If you have a memory about school or college, tell us about it.
I'll start with my days in school. It was pretty mild compare to Shoe and Audrey but here goes.
My Days in school
My trunacy days started in sixth grade. I couldn't stand the school and I only liked two teachers that I had. I don't remember how many days I missed but it was a bunch. I will always remember one occasion in school during Science class. I had missed most of the week so my classmate happened to turn around and asked me had I done my Health homework. Of course I didn't. Up til the time I graduated I always thanked that classmate. You had to have known our Health teacher. If she was in a bad mood, and she was that day, you had better had your homework done. Those who didn't were sent out to the hall. When the girls came back in their hands were blood red.
Funny though, when I got to Jr. High I never missed a day of school and made extremely good grades. One thing I did perfect while in Jr. High was cheating on tests. My eighth grade English teacher gave a spelling test. I got caught cheating. After lunch, I asked her how I did on the test. She looked at me and said "I felt like turning you over my knee". Needless to say that threat worked. I'd no longer cheated on her tests. Well, I never got caught. Heck, I was weighing only 110 pounds so I decided to lay low. I use to go to her house almost every weekend.
High School was a whole other story. First, they outlawed paddling. Bad mistake. I didn't give any authority figure any respect all through school. I was nervous at first because my brother-in-law was a teacher there. So tenth grade slipped by quietly. Eleventh and twelfth grade, my behavior went to hell. My accounting teacher, poor thing, I feel sorry for her now. I decided for a week that I was going to show up late for class and I did. She couldn't do anything to me. She wouldn't dare send me to detention. Reason: I was her helper. I had Accounting down pat and I would help one side of the class while she took the other. So I guess I took advantage of her.
Senior year I was just as bad. This time instead of being late, I would delay the start of class by refusing to sit down. I sat on top of my desk instead. She asked me if I want to see the Vice Principal. I said "Sure, send me to Nappy J". Needless to say she didn't send me to see him. All of the students called him Nappy J. No, he don't have a "J" in his name. Disrespect was an ALL TIME high with me.
There was one teacher that we loved to make cry. He was such a weanie. We would lock him out of the classroom, rearranged his desk, you name it we did it. He would get so mad but we would do it again and again. He finally quit teaching the following year. We loved film day. He turned out the light and the heads went down.
